Lauren graduated from the The College of New Jersey (formerly Trenton State) in 1986 and has been working in the Warren Hills school district in Washington Township ever since. She is a chorus teacher in both the middle and high schools. In addition to teaching singing, Lauren performs occasionally in NYC (the Village) and the Jersey Shore (LBI & Point Pleasant). She also sings in a wedding band, where several years ago she ran into Don McCormick at one of her "gigs". In 1997 she married Doug Voight of Maplewood, the same where in which she received a master degree in gifted education from the University of Connecticut. They are living in Bernardsville with their 14-month old twins Matthew and Allison.
